Head Start Program

FREE Head Start Program for children, must be three years old by September 1st for the Head Start program.  Income is a factor in determining eligibility for the program, but should not keep a family from applying.

Head Start is primarily a federally-funded program that provides education, health and social services to families with children aged 3, 4 and 5. Head Start programs help children develop academic and social skills that prepare them for school and life. While enrolled in a high quality Head Start preschool program, children receive nutrition, health and supports that help them grow mentally, physically and socially.

Early Head Start Program

FREE Early Head Start Program for children ages birth to 3 years and pregnant mothers.

Important Enrollment Information:

When you complete an application you are asked to provide the following:

  1. Income Information
  2. Birth Certificate / Record
  3. Immunization Record

Options to Fit Family Needs:

Center-based classes

Classes range from 3.5 hours to 6 hours per day.  Additionally, some classes are held 4 days per week, while others are 5 days per week.

Home Base

In-home educational and parent services.  Two classroom / center Family Time Socials per month for children and parents.

Early Head Start

In home educational and parent services.  Two classroom/center socializations per month for children and parents.
